Jeffrey, Dr. David, & other staff at NSMI,

I wanted to thank you all for the excellent job with my knee surgery late last year & physical therapy through early this year.  I highly recommend NSMI to others based upon my experience and results after my knee surgery last November.

At that time, I mentioned plans to Thru-Hike the Appalachian trail.  I started the trail at Springer Mountain, Georgia, on Feb 28th, & been hiking North to Katahdin, Maine.  I completed 1,500 miles of the AT, then decided to return home just after crossing the Hudson river bridge in NY.  I was confident that I would be able to complete the entire trail (2,194 miles), but decided to come home to be with my family before I got to the Connecticut border.  I was doing great physically, and my exit had nothing to do with my knee.

My knee held up great, no problems at all, even though this was very physically grueling. I  walked on rocks pretty much every day, and did a bunch of boulder scrambles. Going up and done tons of mountains part of Thru-Hiking AT.  The elevation changes did not bother me, and I actually preferred hiking up a big mountain compared to walking on the rocks with no (or little) elevation change.

Please share my thanks & link to trail journal with others there.  I very much recommend NSMI.

Thanks!
