Erica joined NSMI in August 2020 as a resident. She is now a full time, licensed certified athletic trainer and certified orthopedic technologist. Erica evaluates, triages and treats medical and musculoskeletal pathology in coordination with her supervising surgeons. In the operating room, she scrubs-in on surgical cases as a primary surgical assistant in order to ensure safety, continuity of care, quality surgical outcomes and operating room efficiency. Her practice and research interests focus on Sports Medicine care for all ages and types of athletes.

Erica is a long-time Loudoun County resident and graduated from Heritage High School.  She earned her bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University and her Masters degree from George Mason University. In 2021, Erica graduated from National Sports Medicine Foundation’s post-graduate Athletic Training Residency Program. She is skilled in the treatment of athletes at all levels and has experience working with NCAA Division 1 athletes with the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams at George Mason University and in the community with Loudoun Soccer and the Purcellville Cannons baseball team.  

Erica also currently serves as a member of the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association Young Professionals Committee. In her free time, Erica likes to spend time with family/friends, read and cheer on her favorite DC sports teams.
