Britton Schaeufele is a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and graduate of George Mason University. She has been an ATC at the National Sports Medicine Institute since 2016, working alongside Orthopaedic Surgeons and Nurse Practitioners in the care of injured athletes. In 2019 she became the Head Athletic Trainer, responsible for the on-boarding and training of all new athletic training staff. In addition to her clinical task, she produced the first comprehensive policy and procedure manual for the athletic training staff at NSMI.

In 2020 Britton moved to New Hampshire with her wife, she continues her work with NSMI in a remote capacity as a Project Manager, facilitating creative solutions and promoting expansion of NSMI. Her projects range from the creation and management of the NSMI website, social media content, EHR, patient education, and so much more. Her professional interests include healthcare administration, accessibility, education, and maintaining best practices in sports medicine. 

Prior to working at NSMI, Britton worked with several youths, collegiate, semi-professional, and professional sports teams in the Northern Virginia area including D.C. United, Evergreen Hammers Professional Development Teams, F.C. Barcelona, U.S.A. Rugby, George Mason University Track and Field, Brigade Lacrosse, Loudoun Soccer and Loudoun Youth Football. Britton has also worked as a research assistant at George Mason University, monitoring injury rates and providing care to youth lacrosse and football teams in Prince William and Loudoun County.

Personal interests include cooking, hiking, camping, rock climbing, and woodworking.
