The National Sports Medicine Foundation provides various forums to facilitate the dissemination of orthopaedic and sports medicine information to medical and non-medical professionals. Currently these forums include the athletic training residency program, conferences, clinical preceptorship, academic sessions, and grand-rounds.

Academic Sessions

Academic sessions are regularly held to discuss a variety of topics that focus on the natural history, etiology, surgery, rehab, and treatment of sport-related injuries.

Clinical Preceptorship

Our providers work with students of all levels and background for a period to assist the student in acquiring new competencies required for safe, ethical, and quality practice.

Athletic Training Residency Program

The mission of the athletic training residency is to train the athletic trainers to excel as an Orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine physician extender.
