Body Composition with DXA Scan

For highly trained athletes, even a small change in body composition can significantly affect performance.

Body composition monitoring provides valuable information that athletes and their trainers can use to adjust diet and training regimens. Body composition measurement helps establish a starting point and a target, helping any athlete to pursue a specific goal.

Return to Sport Testing/Functional Movement Screening

Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a series of standardized tests used to assess an individuals functional and fundamental movement patterns. This type of functional assessment is used to highlight an individual’s potential risk of sustaining a musculoskeletal disorder.

Additionally we design our screening for the athlete looking to return to competition following an injury or surgery. Multiple tests are grouped to give insight on strength, endurance, balance, and functional movements directly related to your sport.

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing

Metabolic rate is a measure of how much food, or fat is converted to energy in a day. Resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the measurement of how much food, or energy, is required to maintain basic bodily functions such as your heartbeat, breathing, and temperature while you are in a state of rest. An RMR test shows how many calories you burn at rest. With this information, we can better guide nutritional needs while training.

The CardioCoach delivers simple and accurate fitness testing based on oxygen consumption. This information can be used as the foundation for customized exercise and nutrition programs that truly meet the needs of the individual athlete.

VO2 Max Testing

A VO2 Max Test is a measurement that reflects a person’s ability to perform sustained exercise. It is generally considered the best indicator of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. It is suitable for a wide range of individuals, from the sedentary to elite athletes.

The VO2 max values can be used to establish your baseline fitness level before the start of a training program and used thereafter to track your progress.
